If I had to choose one product to live with for the rest of my life, it would be One Love Organics Skin Savior Multi-tasking Wonder Balm…
— One Love Organics | Skin Savior Review —
The Skin Savior is a pretty little gem that literally covers all the bases. It cleanses, moisturizes, conditions, smooths and massages your entire body, from your feet to the head on your hair. It’s quite simply amazing.
Rachel Zoe is also a fan (and we love anything she loves, right?!). In April 2011, Rachel wrote the first of many reviews to come (read it here). This is what creator, Suzanne LeRoux, had to say about it:
Rachel Zoe ordered some without us knowing, and she wrote about it on The Zoe Report back when they only featured one product a day. So I’m home with the kids, and I’m in an apron, and the orders start coming in like ticker tape. I’m like: “What is going on?” And then the site shut down.
This beauty balm was very hydrating on my skin. Only a small amount was needed after cleansing. I loved to run some through my hair after straightening, or just before bed for overnight conditioning. On days when I was run off my feet (which was too often!), I didn’t even bother moisturizing. Instead, I just mixed a small amount of balm with my foundation and applied, killing two birds with one stone. Awesome multi-tasking there if I don’t say so myself. The result was a dewy, hydrated finish.
I could go on and on, listing the many ways you could use this balm, but I will stop with just one more (which is technically a double whammy). Every night I used it as a cleanser/moisture mask. I followed OLO’s suggested moisture mask 1-minute treatment which is gentle enough to do every day:
This treatment worked so great on my dry skin, but it would be suitable for oily skin too. Oil is actually the best cleanser for oily skin because it removes all dirt and excess oils that encourage bacteria and fungus overgrowth but does not strip the protective barrier that can lead to overproduction of sebum.
Such A Great Travel Companion…
Back in the summer of 2014, I escaped with my family to a little island by the sea in Victoria, Australia. This simple beauty balm accompanied me and I swear it really was all I needed. I used it to cleanse in the morning and evening, and then reapplied a tiny amount to add a bit of moisture to my skin. I also used it in my hair after the sea salt had its way with it. The only other products I took with me were Ere Perez’s Natural Almond Oil Mascara in Black and Beautiful Beetroot Cheek & Lip Tint in ‘Lovely’. Easy!
A Little Bit About One Love Organics
OLO was created by an amazing woman called Suzanne LeRoux. She is everything Eleventh Beauty aspires to be. A lawyer in her previous career, she has clearly found her passion and calling in life, and has used her smarts to learn how to create products which are truly beneficial to the skin, health and beauty. She is also a mom, which no doubt drives the company’s “achieve more with less” philosophy and the reasoning behind their support for non-profit organisations that help families thrive.
The company now proudly bears the ECOCERT seal, providing third-party assurance that their products’ origins and path, from source to shelf, are of the highest quality, certified organic and environmentally friendly. The products are also certified cruelty-free through PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies Program and has the Gold Certified Business Seal of Approval.
As the name suggests, the company’s manifesto includes these beautiful words:
We declare that love is the greatest, most powerful force on earth.
